It was the season opener for the 2022 Summer League and the Angels would start with the Bayonets at Richfield.

There would be plenty of scoring opportunities throughout the game as both teams clear 40 shots in the game. It would be T. Wolfe of the Bayonets that would score the first goal of the game, just 3 minutes into the season. However, after that, it would be all goalies after that. The first period would finish 1-0.

In the second, the Angels would tie it up just a couple of minutes in as D. Bouchard scores to make it 1-1. The Bayonets would again go up late in the second with a goal from J. Chamberlain, taking advantage of the power play.

Early in the third, D. Wageman would add on another to make it 3-1 Bayonets. Despite getting 17 shots, the Angels would only be able to reduce it to 3-2 with just 34 seconds remaining in the game, a power play goal for E. Parker.

The Angels will try to pick up their first win against the Jungleers after a long holiday break.
